Doughnuts



As a youth I made doughnuts often. Now it's more of a rare occurrence since it's deep fat fried. However, the upside to making your own doughnuts is you can control the quality of the fat you use for frying.


Ingredients

  • 2 packages active dry yeast

  • 1/2 cup water

  • 1/2 cup milk

  • 1/3 cup coconut oil

  • 1/3 cup suga

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 3 1/2-4 cups flour

  • 2 eggs

Instructions

  1. Mix as a bread dough.

  2. Refrigerate overnight.

  3. Roll out dough ½ inch thick. Cut out doughnuts with a doughnut cutter.

  4. Let rise 45 minutes.

  5. Cook in deep fat fryer at 375 degrees.
