As a youth I made doughnuts often. Now it's more of a rare occurrence since it's deep fat fried. However, the upside to making your own doughnuts is you can control the quality of the fat you use for frying.
Ingredients
2 packages active dry yeast
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup milk
1/3 cup coconut oil
1/3 cup suga
1 teaspoon salt
3 1/2-4 cups flour
2 eggs
Instructions
Mix as a bread dough.
Refrigerate overnight.
Roll out dough ½ inch thick. Cut out doughnuts with a doughnut cutter.
Let rise 45 minutes.
Cook in deep fat fryer at 375 degrees.
