Belgian Waffles - Dessert



These waffles are like pound cake and are served at room temperature for dessert plain or with fruits and ice cream.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour

  • 1/2 cup plus 2 tbsp butter

  • 2 eggs

  • 1 cups sugar

  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

  • 2 tsp almond extract

Instructions

  1. Cream butter and sugar. Beat in eggs, vanilla extract and almond extract. Mix in flour.

  2. Cook golf ball sized pieces of dough on a Belgian waffle iron. The waffles will be round and cookie sized. The should not completely fill the space for the waffle.

  3. Dip in melted chocolate if desired.
